Hedges
We offer hedge cutting and shaping services in both conventional and Niwaki style across East Devon. We trim small and large hedges, and offer annual growth trims as well as larger reductions.
Garden hedges need regular cutting to keep them tidy, manageable and aesthetically pleasing. We recommend trimming hedges in late winter/early spring or autumn each year, in accordance with protecting breeding birds as per the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981. Hedges which border roads or footpaths have minimum clearance requirements, which we can ensure that we meet for you as part of our work.
Hedge cutting and shaping
- Conventional style – in formal, symmetrical square cut/box shapes. This style is easy to maintain and provide a conventional screen or border to the garden.
- Organic shapes – in rounded, asymmetric shapes to a unique brief or specification depending on garden design or desired outcome. This style is more landscaped, curated and adds an artistic flair to a garden.
